Teaching Assignment at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences

For the winter semester 2015/1016, the dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences granted me a teaching assignment for online research. This semester I hold several research workshops at the university campus to teach technical journalism students research techniques. These workshops focus on social media and twitter tools, practical application of the German freedom of information acts and different internet databases. Naturally, during these classes I also provide students with useful research tips taken from journalistic practice and insights into my work as a freelance journalist. Susanne Keil, professor for journalism at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism, is responsible for the research classes. In 2013, I already collaborated in research classes for technical journalism students under Professor Katharina Seuser.
