New journalist office in Bonn as of 1 February 2015

As of 1 February 2015, I will move to my own office in the Federal and UN City of Bonn. The intention behind the investment into the new location is to put my work on a broader footing. The office is centrally located in the heart of the city, between the old town hall and Beethoven’s birthplace, in walking distance to Bonn central station.

It is the first external office I am moving to in the almost 15 years that I have been working as a freelance journalist. This step also marks the beginning of a new era in my journalistic career. My journalist office will be open to the public and to my clients.

The new office will also be home to Recherche-Lab, a research lab event series. So far, I have been organising large-scale Recherche-Labs in Berlin and Cologne. As of February, I will hold additional courses in small groups dealing with research topics. Recherche-Lab Bonn will cover programmes such as computer-assisted reporting, open data, research in company databases and social media tools. Guest lecturers will also be invited from time to time. Recherche-Lab Bonn will start off on 23 February with a course on internet research tools.
